Nick Matthew claims his 50th PSA title

Nick Matthew, appearing in his 50th PSA final, went one better than last year when he claimed the Springfield Solutions British Grand Prix title with a 3-1 win over top seed and Yorkshire rival James Willstrop at the National Squash Centre in Manchester.
Matthew, the reigning world champion, entered the match as favourite on the back of an impressive head to head record against world number one Willstrop, who had come through a gruelling two-hour semi-final against third seed Gregory Gaultier of France while Matthew spent well under half the time on court in his win against Peter Barker.

Aqeel Rehman, a world-ranked member of the Professional Squash
Association since 2005, won his maiden PSA World Tour
title. The 26-year-old from Salzburg made his long-awaited breakthrough when
he beat Argentina's Gonzalo Miranda 11-8, 11-7, 6-11, 11-4 to
become the first Austrian ever to win a men's pro squash title.

Egypt's Omar Mosaad celebrated his 24th birthday in style today by winning the HKFC Meco Invitational, the inaugural PSA World Tour International 25 squash event at the Hong Kong Football Club in Happy Valley, Hong Kong.
The top seed from Cairo rallied back after losing the first game to defeat second seed Olli Tuominen of Finland 3-11, 11-5, 11-8, 11-4 before an appreciative crowd at Hong Kong Football Club.
