Egypt's Karim Darwish successfully reclaimed the CIMB KL Open Squash Championship title he first won two years ago when he beat fellow countryman Mohamed El Shorbagy in the final of the PSA World Tour International 50 event at Berjaya Times Square in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

Mahesh loses in Semis as Home Hero Yuen wins NSC-SRAM series no 1 tournament: 17/3/2013

Ivan Yuen provided a popular home win in today's final of the NSC SRAM Series No1 in Malaysia - but for the second day in a row the top seed from Kuala Lumpur had to fight back from two games down before clinching the PSA World Tour Challenger 5 squash title at the Bukit Jalil National Squash Centre in the Malaysian capital.

His surprise opponent was Ahmed Atef Abdel-Fattah, an unseeded Egyptian who enjoyed a sensational run of form in only his fifth appearance in a Tour event - making his debut final after overcoming India's No3 seed Mahesh Mangaonkar in a semi-final which lasted only five minutes short of two hours!

An unseeded Pakistani teenager Nasir Iqbal beat 4th Indian seed Harinder Pal Sandhu in the finals of the Royal Lake Club Open, the inaugural PSA World Tour Challenger 10 squash event at The Royal Lake Club in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.

In the 1st semi-final it was an all-Indian affair, in which Harinder Pal Sandhu ended Ravi Dixit's run, beating the qualifier 12-10, 11-7, 11-3 in 40 minutes.

But Iqbal maintained his seed-slaughtering run in the final, beating Sandhu 11-6, 11-5, 11-5 to claim the second PSA Tour title of his career - but his first on foreign soil

Tarek Momen Is Malaysian Open Champion: 15 September 2012Saving two match-balls in the dying stages of the game, unseeded Tarek Momen overcame second seed Mohamed El Shorbagy in first ever all-Egyptian final of the CIMB Malaysian Open to win the PSA World Tour International 50 squash event at the Curve Shopping Mall in Selangor in dramatic style - and claim the biggest title of his career.

The 24-year-old from Cairo had only beaten world No8 El Shorbagy once before in his career - in the semi-finals of the 2010 Malaysian Open!

Nicol David & Omar Mosaad claims KL Crown…31 March 2012

In his second 112-minute marathon Malaysian encounter in three days, Egypt's Omar Mosaad edged to victory over Englishman Adrian Grant in today's final of the CIMB Nicol David KL Open to win the PSA World Tour International 50 squash event at Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur.

 

For Nicol David it was business as usual as she claimed her eighth KL Open title - but the first since the tournament had been named after her - as she beat unseeded Annie Au in straight games and 60th title of her dazzling career.

"I'm happy I won the CIMB Nicol David KLOpen, and also knowing that it's named after me, it feels extra special to win it," said a delighted champion.

Harinder, Ravi loses in 1st round, Sabry Celebrates SRAM Series Success

Cairo teenager Mazen Hesham Ga Sabry became the latest Egyptian to claim his first PSA World Tour squash title when he lifted the SRAM NSC Series No3 trophy at the Bukit Jalil National Squash Centre in Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia

 

The 17-year-old fourth seed made his breakthrough in the PSA Challenger 5 event's semi-finals when he upset second-seeded compatriot Karim Ali Fathi in five games - coming back from two games down to beat the higher-ranked 18-year-old 7-11, 3-11, 11-7, 11-6, 14-12. 

 

His opponent in the final was third seed Alejandro Garbi Caro. The 28-year-old Spaniard was celebrating his first appearance in a Tour final since making his debut on the Tour in 2003. 

 

The pair battled for 48 minutes before Sabry emerged triumphant 11-7, 8-11, 11-3, 11-4.
