Amitoj Inder Singh
  

Amitoj Inder Singh is the leading Squash Coach in India with qualifications that rate amongst the highest in the world. His qualifications include NCAS Australia Level 3, the highest in the world; NCAS Level 2 in Coaching Principles; Asian Squash Federation Level 2 and NCAS Level 1 from Australian Strength and Conditioning Association.

He started coaching in 1997 at Yadavindra Public School, Chandigarh. Within a year the schools U-12 Squash team won the All India Inter School Championship in its maiden appearance in the event.

Amongst various other results, the most noteworthy is his trainee, Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu winning the Scottish Boys Under-13 title in 2001. This was the first win by any Indian boy at the event, arguably the second most prestigious junior tournament after the British Junior Open.  Harinder had been introduced to Squash just 3 years back by Amitoj."

"Another player- Aditya Jagtap who trains with Amitoj for Tactical and Psychological aspects, became National Champion in the Boys Under-17 age group in October 2007. At the British Junior Open (January 2008), Aditya upset the second seed Farhan Zaman of Pakistan after losing the first two games 9-1, 9-0. Aditya lost to the eventul winner of the U-17 title 3-2, 9-7 in the fifth game."

Amongst various other results, the most noteworthy is his trainee, Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu winning the Scottish Boys Under-13 title in 2001. Harinder had been introduced to Squash just 3 years back by Amitoj.

After coaching for 6 years in various schools simultanously, he is presently coaching at the Cricket Club of India, Bombay, since April 2003, ran CCI Squash Academy where 50 Juniors of various age groups and levels upto International level train.

In addition to coaching, he writes articles on Squash in various newspapers. He is the Honorary Secretary of Chandigarh Squash Rackets Association.

  • Member of the Taft school squash Varsity team - Just  won all matches against Eaton and Harrow two public schools from Britain.

  • Semi-finalist in the western India squash tournament in November 98
  • Semi -finalist in the 'Little Master' Indian Open Squash Tournament October'98 (Participation by other Asian Countries - held for the first time in India)

  • Semi-finalist in the Western India Open Squash Tournament October' 98

  • Played India at the May '98 Malaysian Opens

  • Won the bronze medal (3rd place)

  • Semi-finalist in the Nationals U-16 held in New Delhi, October

  • Won the 'best player of the tournament' trophy at the PIX Junior Squash Championship
